Kaila Russell

Kaila joined Blueprint in February 2026 and is the Head of Talent. She partners with founders and leadership across the firm's portfolio to help their teams scale with intention. Prior to Blueprint, Kaila was a Client Director at Candidate Labs, where she worked with early-stage founders to build product, engineering, and GTM teams at critical moments in company trajectory. She got her start in tech as one of the first outbound SDRs at Zenefits, and went on to join Community.com as Head of Talent, scaling the team from 25 to 150 employees over two years. She holds a B.A. in Business from UC Irvine.

Outside of work, Kaila enjoys spending time with her wife, Lauren, and their dogs, Daxel and Olive, travel hacking their next dream vacation, or discovering new places to eat and explore.
